John Peter Kesterson
John Peter Kesterson is a U.S. Army veteran, voice actor, narrator, and emerging on-camera talent whose life has been shaped by service, perseverance, family, and opportunity.
Born in Bulgaria, John was adopted at the age of three and brought to the United States, where he was given the opportunity to build a life he has never taken for granted. Raised with a strong emphasis on respect, accountability, hard work, and gratitude, he grew up in a family with a deep appreciation for service. His younger brother would later serve in the United States Marine Corps, while John forged his own path in the United States Army.
In 2018, John enlisted as an Infantryman. He served on active duty with the 10th Mountain Division, including with 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, before later continuing his military career with the Virginia Army National Guard. There, he served with Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment in Leesburg, Virginia, part of the historic lineage associated with the 29th Infantry Division.
Over more than six years in uniform, John developed the discipline, composure, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure that continue to define his professional work today.
After military service, John built experience across several demanding industries, including professional security, technical service, customer relations, sales, and financial services. Whether working in high-responsibility environments, assisting clients, or learning entirely new industries, he became known for communicating clearly, learning quickly, remaining composed under pressure, and taking ownership of the task in front of him.
But throughout his life, one quality consistently stood out:
His voice.
With a naturally deep, commanding, cinematic sound and the ability to shift tone, intensity, pacing, character, and emotional range, John began pursuing professional voiceover work through Voice of Command HQ. His vocal style lends itself naturally to military and historical productions, documentaries, film and television, trailers, commercials, narration, video games, character work, public-service campaigns, and dramatic storytelling.
What separates John from simply having a distinctive voice is the life behind it.
He understands service because he has lived it. He understands sacrifice, responsibility, brotherhood, perseverance, loss, and resilience from firsthand experience. That perspective gives his performances an authenticity that cannot simply be manufactured in a recording booth. Whether a project calls for authority, warmth, gravity, intensity, vulnerability, inspiration, or quiet conviction, John approaches every performance as a storyteller first.
Today, John is a devoted husband and father of three, including a young son and two older children. Family is central to his sense of purpose, and every new opportunity is viewed through the lens of providing for them, setting an example, and building a legacy they can be proud of.
His goal is not simply to build a career in entertainment. John wants to use his voice to tell meaningful stories, honor those who served before him, represent veterans authentically, and create work that connects with audiences long after the final line is spoken.
From a three-year-old child beginning a new life in America, to an Army Infantryman serving the country that became his home, to a professional voice talent stepping behind the microphone, John Peter Kesterson’s story has always been about answering opportunity with commitment.
And now, he is ready to be heard.
